M/s Norton Engineering Work, I/side Street Opp: Canara Bank, Faizpura Road, Batala – 143 505 (Punjab – India), was founded in 1956 by S. Joginder Singh, B.E.(Mech.). and started manufacturing conventional type small wood-working machines like Bandsaw etc.  Gradually we added some other wood-working machines to our production range.  In order to cater to the ever increasing demand of our quality products, we not only started our own mechanized foundry unit capable of  making simple as well as intricate C I Castings but also added Designing and Quality Control Departments for the manufacture of a wide range of most modern, multi-operational and Special Purpose wood-working machines of about 30 different types and sizes for covering a good variety of automatic operations as well as highly precision machine tools like Lathes.

The quality of our products is controlled right from designing up to packing under direct supervision of highly experienced personnel with strict stage inspection and with the help of Government Machine Tool Institute located in our town Batala.  This utmost care that we take in the manufacture of our machines, coupled with the rich and long expertise as well as highly precision mother machines we have, has earned us a valuable clientele not only throughout the home market but also in various foreign countries for their best quality, excellent working performance and durability besides winning various State as well as Central Government Awards and Gold Medal   Our machines offer all advantages of modern technology with absolute satisfaction at the most economical prices against tough international competition.
